As I’ve learned, starting new jobs completely prevents me from studying!
I’ve managed to maintain my Japanese level through regular conversation practice but my study habits are shocking these days. Well, we’re at the end of a financial year so the accountant in me is using 1st April as an opportunity to start afresh with my N2 plans and focussing on getting ready to finally take N2 in December. Work remains busy and will be that way for a while but I feel like I’ve sorted out my life enough that I can fit studying in again. I also started volunteering more in my local community and the walk there gives me a good opportunity to get a podcast in.
I had an idea for a ‘JLPT diaries’ column in the Japanese Network newsletter at work so I might try something out here, or a weekly study log. I’m going to try a few things out and post about them here… I always think it’s worth trying a few things out and seeing what works, as it doesn’t work for everyone. I remember doing Tadoku and having to log my pages each day and that wasn’t fun, so I’ll be finding a different way to track progress.c
In the meantime, if you’re studying for the JLPT I wish you all the best!
